Get a kit that allows you to mix pigments to create custom colors if your sink is an off white color. Remove any food soap or toothpaste build up from the surface. Some butler s sinks are made from porcelain which is not as hard wearing as fireclay and more prone to damage and stains however less expensive to buy. The repair process is quite easy but it is delicate work that requires a bit of patience and a steady hand.

This is a type of ceramic putty that is white and has a smooth finish. Working in a kitchen with a ceramic sink takes some adjustment you re no longer able to simply throw things into the sink and let things pile up but need to be more careful than with. Gently clean with liquid soap and dry. Once the paste has dried completely sand the spot the paste until the surface is smooth.

Use a spatula or any flat blade to apply the filler paste to the damaged porcelain. This brand and other types of a band ceramic putty can set underwater and form a waterproof bond when dried. Purchase a porcelain and ceramic epoxy chip repair kit. Fortunately most hardware stores carry sink repair kits that let you fix the damage rather than replace the entire sink.

Repairing the sink damage. Only sand the area of the sink with paste on it and not the others. Buy a generic white repair kit if your ceramic sink is a standard white color. Using warm water liquid soap and a sponge gently clean the porcelain sink.
